Invenergy's Lake Wilson Solar and Purple Skies Wind projects donate $5,000 to the Wonder World Preschool Fundraiser in Murray County, Minnesota

by Invenergy Team

Midwest based developer, owner, and operator of sustainable energy solutions, Invenergy, donated $5,000 to Wonder World Preschool in Slayton, Minnesota to help with fundraising for the center’s relocation efforts. Invenergy’s Lake Wilson Solar and Storage Energy Center and multi-phase Purple Skies Wind Energy Center are both being developed in Murray County.Wonder World, which has cared for children at the same location for over 52 years, was required last year to find a new space. With no viable alternative locations and the need to meet current licensing requirements, the non-profit board decided to move forward with plans to build a new center. A new building will be an opportunity to optimize the space. Doubling the capacity for infants and most efficiently utilizing staff will increase economic efficiencies and better meet the needs of the long waitlist of families, ensuring Wonder World is able to serve the community for future generations. This donation from Invenergy will go towards Wonder World’s Capital Campaign and help with additional costs for mailing and other marketing associated with the increased fundraising.
  • “I went to Wonder World myself when I was a little kid,” said Manager of Local and Community Affairs for Invenergy, Molly Malone. “My daughter attends Wonder World now, and I am proud that Invenergy is supporting the enduring value this facility brings to the local community.”
  • “As a parent of children attending Wonder World and a landowner working with Invenergy, this donation towards Wonder World's relocation efforts means a lot to us,” said President of Wonder World's Board of Directors, Kyla Buldhaupt. “I personally appreciate Invenergy's consistent efforts in giving back to the community and value the opportunity that Wonder World has received. I can't wait to see our project move forward and continue to offer quality childcare for our community.”
Invenergy is committed to supporting cause-based investment across our local communities including educational causes and initiatives. In the last 2 years, Invenergy donated over $3 million nationwide on behalf of education-based causes and continues to support valuable community services crucial to the communities where we live, develop, work, and operate.
