Twenty-five years before Michael Polsky would become the CEO of Invenergy, he came to the U.S. from Ukraine with a master’s degree in mechanical engineering, $500 in cash and four suitcases of belongings. He founded his first company, Indeck Energy Services, in 1985.
Five years later, Polsky founded SkyGen Energy, where he met Jim Murphy, Invenergy's future president and corporate business leader. The two would assemble the remainder of Invenergy's eight-person founding team and launch their mission to be innovators building a sustainable world.
