The Towner Team at the Kiowa County Fair & Rodeo

On December 14th, Invenergy hosted an event at El Sol Battery Energy Center in Youngtown, AZ, to recognize the invaluable work of the Sun City Fire Department and to celebrate the project's progress.

Invenergy presented a donation to the Sun City Fire Department during a special ceremony that reflects our commitment to supporting and collaborating with local first responders, ensuring the safety and well-being of the communities where we operate.

The event featured a speech from the Sun City Acting Fire Chief Rob Schmitz, the Arizona Public Service, and esteemed public officials including State Senator Frank Carroll and Youngtown Mayor Michael LeVault.

El Sol has been under construction since earlier this year and the event aligned with the delivery and installation of the batteries themselves.

“It is great to see a private sector driven energy storage project that increases our community’s access to safe, reliable, affordable electricity in our community,” said Senator Frank Carroll.

El Sol Battery Energy Center Honors & Supports the Sun City Fire District

Earlier this month, the Dawn Harvest Solar team visited the New Life Food Pantry (New Life Assembly of God) in Rock County, touring with Director Amanda Beesly and learning about the positive community impacts and continued growth of the pantry.

The pantry and its volunteers prepare whole meals and provide recipe cards for upwards of 120 families per week, using produce provided by Second Harvest Foodbank of Southern Wisconsin Farm to Foodbank Initiative. Darien Solar participating landowner Dean Kincaid Farms is part of the initiative, providing local produce for the pantry’s meals.

We are proud to support New Life Food Pantry, and look forward to our continued partnership throughout 2024!

Badger Hollow Wind supports local organizations 4-H, SUN and the Second Harvest Foodbank

Future Farmers of America Association (FFA) is a national organization that promotes premier leadership, personal growth, and career success through agricultural education. Members are future farmers, chemists, veterinarians, government officials, entrepreneurs, and more across many career fields.

In March, the Invenergy team was honored to sponsor the annual Evangeline Parish Spring Rodeo! The team had a great time attending the rodeo and meeting more members of the community.

Earlier this month, the Dawn Harvest Solar team was pleased to host the Milton Area Chamber of Commerce at the project’s new office for an official ribbon cutting ceremony, project presentation and lunch last week. We are excited for our partnership and for the continued benefits our project will bring to the Milton Community.

Goldthwaite Wind Energy (Wind, 148.6 MW) presented this donation during the season's Opening Ceremony, where all Little League teams are announced and presented to the community of Goldthwaite, Texas. 

Over 200 children spread between 17 teams were recognized for their participation in the 2024 baseball, softball, and teeball seasons. The donation from Invenergy went toward new gear for the teams, field updates, and more.

Goldthwaite Wind Energy Supports Mills County Youth Sports Programming

Earlier this month, graduating seniors at Deuel High School in Clear Lake, South Dakota, were awarded the 4th Annual Invenergy Deuel School Scholarship, receiving $50,000 since launching the program in early 2021.

The scholarship recipients were celebrated at a ceremony at Deuel High School on May 2nd along with members of the South Deuel Wind Project team and project landowners Jim and Linda Dailey and Greg and Darla Toben, participating landowners of Invenergy's Deuel Harvest Wind Energy Center. They were also joined by other fellow organizers of the Invenergy Deuel School Scholarship Program with past recipients having used the funding to pursue higher education in programs within the medical field, engineering, wind energy maintenance, and various other fields of study.

Jim Dailey, one of the organizers, expressed his belief in the importance of industries contributing to their communities and Deuel High School Career Advisor Leslie Larson-Cutshaw also acknowledged the impact of the scholarship, particularly for students with financial constraints. She expressed appreciation for the scholarship's contribution and hoped for its continued provision to support future students. 

We are dedicated to supporting youth programming and education in our partnering communities and will continue to support the scholarship program every year for the project's life.
